Crafting Auric Resilience

Change, transition and “leveling up” can often take us by surprise. It can be some of the most challenging times in our lives because our energetic and physical bodies are shifting and reprograming for our energy to grow and evolve closer to our souls purpose. To do this work we are asked to look at our shadows, open our perspective and create healthy boundaries. It is not always neat but it is always worth it.

During these periods we may experience fatigue, fogginess, low energy, mood swings and sometimes even getting sick in the physical body. That is because our energy is so focused on working the subconscious. The best remedy is rest, self care and crafting a practice of auric resilience and self healing. Let’s talk about some practices you can employ whenever you are intentionally working on energetic strengthening. Remember our energy is like a muscle, creating a healthy spiritual gym routine works best. Think and work in rituals and cycles for the best results!

Psychic Bathing

Water is one of the most energetically cleansing elements. Taking regular baths with sea salt, protective herbs like mugwort, lavender or sage, lighting candles and intentionally washing off energy that isn’t yours is crucial to feeling your own strength. You can ask the water to rid you of anything that is not yours and ask the water to protect you with its strength. If you do not have a bathtub, no worries. Allow the water from your shower to hit the crown of your head. As it cleanses the crown, ask the water to cleanse your energy. The crown of the head is where we receive so much information and insight, so keeping it clear and cleansing it can keep your mind at ease.

Strengthening your Auric Field

The Aura is the energy field that reaches out beyond your physical body, Auras can be between 2ft to 8ft out from the body. How introverted or extroverted you are can help determine the size of your aura, also just how seen you are trying to be at any given moment. Auras have layers, some parts of our Aura don’t change, its part of your energetic blueprint of purpose in this life. Other parts of the Aura do change from month to month, day to day and sometimes by the hour or minute. This depends on your mood, what you are experiencing and how engaged you are with your external and internal world.

During times of transition, change or just for regular spiritual maintenance its good to engage in practices of auric strengthening. This tightens your auric field and increases resilience. One of the simplest and most effective ways to strengthen and cleanse the aura is through visioning.

Take a moment to sit up straight, ground into the earth and close your eyes. Nice deep breath. Imagine a ball of light floating at the crown of your head and name the color of this light. Allow this light envelop your whole self. Imagine this light getting brighter and stronger, every piece of your body and aura is covered by this light.

Repeat this affirmation 3x:

I am strong and protected. I am full of love and magnetize that love back to me. My energy engages with like souls. I rid myself of any energy that is not mine or not meant for me. I am clear, focused and strong. I am resilient.

Practice this daily or just when you need a little boost.

Herbs for Vitality & Protection

Anointing Oils with herbs like Calendula, Rose, Mugwort, Lavender, Tulsi and Sage can work like a shield around the body to protect unwanted energies from affecting you. Taking tinctures, teas and flower essences with the same herbs can help you employ the spirit of the plant. Work with the plant like an ally or friend. Ask the plant to bring your protection, insight or clearing. Make offerings to the plant in the form or water, crystals or send the plant some of your energy in return. All exchanges must be reciprocal for magic to work.

Calendula for Vitality and Solar Expansion.

Rose for Protection and Love.

Mugwort for Intuition and Boundaries.

Lavender for Peace and Clearing.

Tulsi for Chakra Balancing and Cleansing.

Sage for Smudging and invoking Ancestors.

Like most everything else, Auric resilience is cultivated by regular work and practice. Our strength and energetic field needs to be worked and taken care of like any other body part or muscle. These are not the only practices you can employ, you can create your own rituals, follow those of your ancestors or work based off your own intuition. This is just a starting point for you. It gets hard when we are in times of change and transition to feel the energy of regularity, but if we preserver through with some energetic practices, that’s how our auric field becomes impermeable and resilient.
