Signs & Symbols

The universe is an interconnected web of thoughts, images and themes. The first part of any spiritual journey is to open up awareness and become mindfully attuned to this truth. As our awareness grows so does our ability to notice the patterning and messaging that comes through via signs and symbols. This is incredibly personal and the best way to interpret these signs in symbols is through your own intuition and associations. But sometimes we all need a little help. Below is a little cheat sheet of some traditional meanings of some signs that may appear to you on your path.

Of course there is an infinite amount of signs and symbols so they may not all be listed here. Also if an interpretation listed here does not resonate with you, don’t force it, trust your higher self to show you your truth.

Angel Numbers

Angel numbers often follow us for periods of time. These numbers all have the universal meaning that your guides are with you. The numbers themselves can tell you what they are helping you with during this time. You can research the numerology of the numbers you see in repetition and look at the astrology and Tarot associated with the number. Often times if we see someones birthday it means they are thinking of us.

11:11 or 111 or any variation of 1’s.

In numerology 1 is the number of assertion, independence and creating a new path. Often 1’s indicate the beginning of something or coming into your new realm of independence. These numbers are associated with Aries in astrology and the Tarot Cards of: The Magician, The Wheel of Fortune and Justice.

222

In numerology the number 2 represents duplicity, collaboration, love and it is influenced by lunar energy. In Astrology 2 is connected to Taurus and in Tarot its connected to the cards of The High Priestess and Judgment.

Bird Symbology

Birds often some to us as signs from the otherside.

Ravens and Crows are spirit birds that can live in multiple dimensions, they carry wisdom. If you are seeing crows and ravens it is not to be feared. But a sign that you are ready to dive deeper into your studies of spirit.

Hawks/Eagles/Falcons are all birds of prey with incredible eyesight. Seeing them shows that there is a bigger vision on the horizon. Fated events will begin to unfold and you have to be ready to be uncomfortable. But you are divinely protected just keep an eye out and trust your instincts. They will lead you to truth.

Vultures represent endings, but not necessarily death. It is the time after where we process the end of a journey and see what we can make of it. Its a time to practice the art of letting go.

Blue Jays, Cardinals and song birds tend to be manifestations of loved ones that have passed. They have come to show you that they are still here and thinking of you.

If you are finding feathers (especially in 3’s) your path will soon change. Follow the feathers to find your alignment.

Moths & Butterflys

They are angels and spirits of light coming to watch over us and bring the magic of grace and peace. In the Balkans we never hurt, get rid of or kill Moths or Butterfly’s. It is the spirit of your guardian angel coming to bless you.

Ringing in the Ears

Ringing in the ears can often symbolizes not listening to or hearing your spirit guides as they communicate to you. It can be an indication that you know the truth but are doing the opposite. Or it could indicate that you haven’t tapped into your intuition or gifts.

As we become more in tune with the universe we begin to see we are in constant communication and recognition with the world around us. The universe and our spirit guides will communicate to us in the way in which we receive information. Many of these signs and symbols will be gifted in ways only we will understand. Stay attuned and open and you will receive.
