TENDING TO THE AURA

It’s no surprise to me that the word aura also means “gentle breeze” or “breath,” with origins leading back to 18th century Greek & Latin.

The air around a person, place, object, situation, conversation…

The wind which speaks without words-

So subtle and so articulate,

If you know how to listen.

You may have also heard it called the energy or bio field by quantum physicists, however the ancients also knew the toroidal field as the emanation and tone of one’s spirit.

Most of us have probably felt when something was off about someone or something before any words were uttered, where the vibe was just not quite right around them, even if you couldn’t put words to it. That’s the aura talking.

Depending on the individual, the aura can extend as far as two arm lengths beyond the physical body in 360 degrees and a few feet above the head and below the feet.

Go ahead and feel your own aura.

Is it close to your body or further away?

Notice what you notice.

How comfortable does your auric field feel right now?

Does it change as you give attention to it?

Maybe you push your aura further out, if that feels good. You can also pull it closer to you if you’re feeling a need to go inward.

I have a sense that everyone can feel, perceive, even read aura, and you don’t need to have all the psychic training in the world to tend to your own aura. Maybe just more Trust in our own information, that we do know what we need and can give that to ourselves- energetically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically.

I started learning about the aura in books of various wisdom traditions, cultures, & scholars of varying backgrounds. I did the deep dive there, but it wasn’t until I began my own practice of tending to my energy within and around me that I really understood the importance and benefits of aura work. I feel confident and the most comfortable in my own body than I have ever felt. I know when something is off with me and can discern where that off-ness is located in my field and ask my guides for their help & healing. I practice setting my aura to shield me from those who may unconsciously (or consciously) throw judgement, shame, doubt, or project their fear onto me. And I don’t have to tell anyone that I’m doing it. It’s just known and felt when I walk into a room.

And because the body is poetry, aura work weaves the stories of the past, present, and future for us to create the story of our life, heal ancestral and generational trauma, and witness the beauty of this mystical Life.

“So how do we do aura work?”

You learn some tools. Mediation is a great place to start. Feeling your own energy and noticing what you notice. You can play with expanding your aura or calling it in close to you. My suggestion is that you get creative! Allow your intuition to guide you in acquiring your own tools for tending to your own aura.

However, it’s also super helpful to work with a practitioner who has their belt well equipped with years of experience. There’s also something mysterious that can happen when you’re aware and in the aura of someone who has been tending to their own field for some time. You might get a taste of their psychic gifts or a miraculous sense of serenity, safety, and comfort.

I’m so excited to be offering  Aura Tendings at INDIGO on 2/22 to give you a little taste of my service called The Esoteric, which you can now book to experience at INDIGO!

2/22 also happens to be STELLUNA’s 1st birthday, so of course we’ll be celebrating, complete with yummy treats and bubbly beverages for all who come by :)

Upon completion of your aura tending, I will offer some next steps or tool for you to practice on your own, so you may continue this practice of tending to your aura beyond our short time together. I may or may not read colors, and I will not ascribe meaning for you, but rather, I will communicate guidance from my spirits to help bring you back to you.

I look forward to celebrating with the INDIGO community and helping you feel a bit more comfortable in your own space and body.

With love and gratitude,

Sam
