The Indigo Team
“It’s a beautiful thing when a passion and a career come together.”
Jordan Frye
Founder + CEO, and Licensed Massage Therapist
Specialist in Lymphatic Drainage and CranioSacral Therapy
My path into wellness didn't start in a massage studio. It started in a cardiac rehabilitation clinic, helping patients recover from heart attacks and strokes.
While I monitored their exercise and tracked their physical progress, it was the conversations that left the deepest mark on me. Day after day, I heard stories of stress, grief, loss, burnout, and seasons of transition. And it became impossible to ignore: our bodies carry more than physical symptoms. They carry our experiences, too.
That realization changed the course of my life.
I had a clear path in clinical exercise physiology in front of me — and I knew I needed something more holistic. In 2014, I became a licensed massage therapist. What I thought might be a career change quickly revealed itself as my life's work.
Two years later, with a portable massage table and a vision bigger than myself, I founded Indigo.
What began as a one-woman practice — serving clients in their homes around Richmond — has grown into a thriving wellness community. Through therapeutic massage, manual lymphatic drainage, craniosacral therapy, and nervous-system-focused care, we've had the privilege of supporting thousands of clients on their wellness journeys. The work that started with one table is now something so much bigger than me, and I am grateful for it every day.
But some of my deepest lessons about healing have happened far outside the treatment room.
When I became pregnant with my son, I experienced a level of trust in my body I had never known. Through pregnancy — and especially through welcoming him at home, through a home birth — I learned the quiet power of surrender. I learned, in a way I couldn't unlearn, that the body is remarkably wise when we let ourselves listen.
Motherhood has shaped the way I live, lead, and serve ever since. My son and I spend countless hours in the garden, growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers. As a family, we care deeply about where our food comes from and about living as close to the rhythms of nature as we can. More recently, that curiosity has led me into the study of herbalism and the healing properties of medicinal plants.
These experiences have only deepened what I have long believed: wellness is not the absence of symptoms. It's a way of living that honors the connection between body, mind, and spirit.
The more I've learned about the human body, the more I've come to revere it. Education, experience, and skilled care all matter — but healing is not something we can force. It unfolds in its own time, in its own way.
My faith has taught me to approach that process with humility — to honor the body's wisdom, to serve others well, and to remember that some things are always bigger than any one practitioner. That perspective shapes both my life and the culture of Indigo we've built together.
At Indigo, we believe exceptional care begins with presence. We believe people deserve to feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported. We believe therapeutic care should be personalized and unhurried. And above all, we believe the body is remarkably wise — and that healing often begins the moment we slow down enough to listen.
What I'm most excited about, as we step into this next chapter of Indigo, is building something that feels like a true neighborhood wellness centerpiece — a place rooted right here in the community I love, where our work in Mechanicsville and Hanover can take a fuller shape. As a faith-based entrepreneur, I believe in investing where I'm planted. In showing up for the people around me. In building a place that doesn't just serve a community, but belongs to one.
That's the Indigo I'm building. A space where the door is open, the welcome is real, and care is something we offer freely to anyone who walks in.
Whether you're seeking relief from pain, support for your wellness goals, or simply a place to rest and recharge — my hope is that you feel these values woven into every part of your experience with us. And my hope is that as you keep coming back, this place starts to feel a little like your own.
Thank you for being part of the Indigo story!

Kait Rose
Licensed Massage Therapist
I studied at Cayce Reilly School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, and my approach to bodywork is rooted in the belief that true healing happens when you feel safe, seen, and genuinely cared for. I’m deeply committed to offering inclusive, accessible, trauma-informed care that honors the whole person—not just the symptoms that brought you in.
Each session I offer is thoughtfully tailored, blending clinical knowledge with intuitive presence. Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, I listen not only to what you share, but to what your body may be communicating beneath the surface. Through this somatic, individualized approach, my intention is to create a treatment experience that feels both deeply restorative and meaningfully supportive.
I believe healing doesn’t come from force—it unfolds through safety, presence, and intentional care. My goal is to create a calming, meditative space where your nervous system can soften, your body can exhale, and renewal can happen naturally. Whether you’re seeking relief, restoration, or simply a moment to reconnect with yourself, it’s an honor to support your care journey.

Courtney Tennity
Licensed Massage Therapist
My path into massage therapy has been a natural extension of who I’ve always been, someone who cares deeply about people and is drawn to helping others feel supported and at ease.
Through my work in caregiving and my own life experiences, I’ve come to understand how much the body holds; stress, tension, and emotion; and how powerful it can be to slow down and reconnect. Massage, to me, is a way to create that space.
My approach is intuitive and client-centered, blending relaxation and therapeutic techniques to support both the body and nervous system. I aim to meet each person where they are and create an experience that feels calming, grounding, and restorative.
Outside of work, I’m a mom and someone who values movement, simplicity, and finding small ways to bring more peace into everyday life.
I’m grateful to be doing this work and look forward to supporting you!
